Data, Privacy and Security Summary

This article provides a high-level overview of how the Virtual Engagement Officer (VEO) handles data, privacy, and security.

What Data the VEO Uses

Your organization decides what data to share with the VEO. This typically includes:

  • Basic contact information
  • Giving history and transaction summaries
  • Organization-approved messaging and website content
  • Conversation history with the donor

The VEO only uses data provided or approved by your organization.

Where the Data Lives

Data shared with Version2 is:

  • Transferred securely via API or SFTP
  • Stored in encrypted, access-controlled Version2 systems
  • Never shared with or exposed to third-party marketers

How the AI Component Works

The AI components used by the VEO are designed with privacy and safety in mind:

  • Underlying models may retain short-term session data for safety and quality monitoring
  • Donor or organizational data is not used to train external AI models
  • Version2 and its partners are SOC 2 Type I certified
